Imogene H. Adams

Imogene H. Adams, 99, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2016 at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs with visitation held from 10-11 a.m. prior to service.  Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Methodist Church 909 W. Jefferson La Grange, KY 40031 or to a charity of your choice.

The daughter of Bert and Sarah Hartman was born in Ray County, Missouri on February 15, 1917.  Imogene worked at the Lake City Ammunition plant, Linda Lane sewing factory, and Avsco plastic manufacturer, where she retired.  She was also a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.  Imogene is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Paul) Meritt La Grange, Kentucky; Wanetta (Gary) Clevenger of Excelsior Springs; sister, Maxine Travillion, Richmond, Missouri; brother, Arlo Hartman, Excelsior Springs; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
