Wilbur Dean “Dean” Berry Sr., 75, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at home.
Dean was born April 15, 1941, in Polo, Missouri. He is the son of the late Floyd O. and the late Dorothy L. (Wollard) Berry. He married Claudine F. Vassey on Sept. 30, 1960, in St Joseph, Missouri.
He retired from Bayer Chemical as a Foreman in the Waste Treatment Department in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine F, (Vassey) Berry, of the home; one daughter, Tamara (Brad) Nelson of Salina, Kansas; one son, Dean (Melissa) Berry, Jr., of Excelsior Springs and four grandchildren; Grant Berry, Nick Berry, Taylor Nelson and Austin Nelson. Dean is also survived by three step-grandchildren; Alivia, Landon and Kendall Seely; one sister, Sharon Peppers, of Excelsior Springs and one brother, Royce Berry of Hamilton, Missouri.
