Mary Elaine Cravens of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away on Aug. 28, 2015.
Mary was born May 17, 1942, in Boone, Iowa, to parents Clarence Carlson and Ruth Lantz. She graduated from United Community High School in 1960. She worked at Bourn’s in Ames, Iowa, until starting her own heavy equipment escorting service which took her all over the United States. She later met the man of her dreams, Harold L. Cravens of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and married on Dec. 2, 1989.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Lindeman; her parents; and sister, Clarice Mitchell.
Mary is survived by her husband, Harold; sisters, Janice (Fay) Reitz of Camdenton, Mo., Delores (Al) Reynolds of Webster City, Iowa, and Karen (Gary) Feakes of Ames, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday Sept. 5, with a service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Salem Christian Union Church in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Arrangements are through Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo., 816-630-3131.
