Betty Jean Stark-Garland
January 26, 1933 – December 3, 2017
Betty was born January 26, 1933 to Benny Joe Love and Opal Faye Coleman-Love. She was the last of 11 siblings, growing up, loving and taking care of each other to the very end. She worked at Linda Lane Garment Factory, Whitaker Cable and Cedars of Liberty. She loved crafting and making dolls and selling them at the local swap and shops.
Betty’s sisters include: Donna Hawkins, Helen Lowry, Bonnie Adams and Shirley Mae Love. Her brothers are: Junior Love, Billy Love, Sammy Love, Bobby Love, Jack Love and Richard Love.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents, Benny Joe Love and Opal Faye Coleman-Love; her first husband, Bob Stark and her late husband, Gilbert Garland.
She was loved by many nieces and nephews. In her final months, she was cared for by nephew Sammy Love, niece Becky Campbell, great-niece Janae Spear, cousin Janelle Coleman and her sister-in-law Mary E. Colvin-Love.
