Laura Deuser Boxford
February 7, 1953—October 12, 2018
Laura Boxford (Deuser), age 65, of Lawson, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Oct. 12, 2018 at Garden Valley Healthcare Center.
Laura was born Feb. 7, 1953 to in Kansas City, Missouri, at Saint Mary’s hospital.
Life was an adventure for Laura which she embraced with a free spirit. Her love for her son and family was immense followed by her passion for reading every book that crossed her path. Her favorite was her Bible which certainly was evidenced by its tattered cover and pages. Her excitement for learning was enormous and always a part of her.
The majority of her professional career was spent in health care assisting others in need. Throughout her life’s journey she was a kind friend to many including elementary schoolmates and those that were less fortunate than her, always giving love, comfort and hope.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma J. Deuser and Laurel E. Deuser.
She is survived by her son, Jason Alexander (Christine White); sister, Karen Dolt; niece, Tricia Greathouse (Phil Greathouse); nephew, Brian Dolt; four great-nieces; one great-nephew and one great-great-niece.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Lawson. A memorial service will immediately follow at the same location.
