Georgia Nadine (Moore) Brown

Georgia Nadine Brown, 79, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. Georgia was born Feb. 4, 1939 to Frank Moore and Venus Audry Pierson Moore.
Georgia started working as a young lady in the family business ran by her grandparents, Noah and Alma Pierson, called OK Taxi, with a small restaurant included. Over the years she worked at several local restaurants, Whitaker Cable, Avsco, and retired from Gilmour Hose. She had a big part of helping raise her grandchildren after retiring. She never missed a sporting event of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband of 32 years, Junior Brown; sisters: Betty Bennett, Wilma (Corky) Moore, Joyce Leeka and Carolyn Moore.
She is survived by her children: William Whitworth, Roy and Tracy Adams, David and Kelly Adams, and Belinda and Bill Halberstadt; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Denny Moore of Maryville, Tennessee.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
