Lisa Nicole Clevenger, 35, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Jan. 13, 2016.
Lisa was born Aug. 25, 1980, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to David Clevenger and Monica Dye. Lisa had worked as a receptionist for many years at the Elms Spa. Lisa loved swimming and walking. One of her favorite things was to spend the day at the pool with her sons. She also loved collecting owls. Most of all, though, Lisa loved spending time with her children. She was an amazing mom and enjoyed many activities with them.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Betty Clevenger and John E. and Georgia Cedar.
Survivors include her parents, David W. Clevenger and Monica Dye; sons, Jerod Michael Hawkins and Jace David Clevenger; sister, Vickie Lynn Payne-Walker; brothers, Sean W. Payne and Ben David Clevenger; and nieces and nephews, Dawson and Madison Walker, Courtney Taylor and Blaze Pollard, as well as other extended family and friends.
Lisa was loved and will be missed dearly.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Funeral services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, followed by burial at Antioch Cemetery in Holt, Mo. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo., 816-628-4411.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for her sons’ education funds.
